MY LIFELONG BATTLE WITH KIDNEY FAILURE
IN THE BEGINNING...
....after spending years writing my debut novel, while battling end-stage kidney disease, it was a race against time to realize my life's dream: to get my novel published. Then, in the summer of 2022, it looked like my time was finally up. I was put on the transplant list and waiting for a kidney, a kidney that many kidney patients never will get. Five of my family members volunteered, but none qualified. But my husband, with severe blood pressure issues wouldn't take "no" for an answer. He improved his health through Herculean efforts and finally qualified as my donor! The same day we were told he could donate his kidney for me, I also got a publisher for BLOOD TO RUBIES! Miracles do happen!
